Did you know that when Josie and the Pussycats was premiering, there was a real Josie and the Pussycats band? The group was made up of the cartoon characters' singing voices: Cathy Douglas (Josie), Patrice Holloway (Valerie), and Cheryl Ladd (Melody). They recorded albums and went on tour as a live embodiment of the cartoon band, and in their albums, they were credited as Josie, Valerie, and Melody.
