Jacob Elordi is obsessed with this classic cartoon

The man behind Frankenstein loves a monster mystery!

The Everett Collection

Hollywood leading man Jacob Elordi is best known for his dramatic roles in films like Frankenstein and Wuthering Heights, but it turns out he's a cartoon fan, just like us! During the press junket for Frankenstein, Elordi joined Frankenstein costar Oscar Isaac for an interview with Brut.

When asked about his favorite shows, Elordi revealed his favorite cartoon: Scooby-Doo! "I watch a lot of Scooby-Doo," Elordi said, "I love a Scooby-Doo in the background." Oscar Isaac responded with a quick "Ruh-roh!" to which Elordi returned a "Ruh-roh, Raggy!" The moment is delightfully silly, and you can watch it in the Brut interview here.

But which era of Scooby-Doo is Elordi's favorite? "I love the movie, I love 'Spooky Island' so much," he said, "It's a great film, a great whodunnit!" Elordi's main guilty pleasure watch is the live-action 2002 Scooby-Doo movie, but he appears to enjoy all eras of the cartoon.

Elordi's revelation of Scooby-Doo fandom has caused fans to wonder - if there ever was another live-action movie, would Elordi act in it, and who would he play? Fred seems like a natural choice, or even Shaggy, but because of the interview, we now know that he can do the Scooby-Doo voice pretty well! So many character options, but we think he could return to his Frankenstein roots and play a monster. Or at least, the man behind the mask of a monster.

If there were another live-action Scooby-Doo movie, which role would you cast Jacob Elordi in? Tell us your thoughts on the MeTV Toons social media!
